Bits and pieces of the baby days of my fourth and last child and the only little boy in our household. Adam was born with a Congenital Heart Defect, he had open-heart surgery at 4 months and 11 days, came home after 4 days and has been gaining weight on breast milk ever since. To say he is a pleasure, a joy, a miracle, a wonder, my favorite boy in the whole world, ... all understatements!

Breastfeeding tip #4 (I think)
Go to a Le Leche League meeting before you have your baby and as soon as you are comfortable taking your bundle of joy out. Women at those meetings who have breastfed are your greatest source of information and support. They have been where you are! If a woman has successfully breastfed one child she is going to very likely be more qualified to help you breastfeed your child than your pediatrician.
Le Leche League meetings are great for several reasons:
1. Moms who breastfeed are there
2. Moms who have breastfed are there
3. You get to see other babies being breastfed
4. You get to be with mothers who very likely parent the way you do
5. Being around other breastfeeding mothers makes you feel more confident
There are a million more reasons, I will keep adding them!
